Telephone Services

VoIP

VoIP (Voice over IP) is a way of reliably connecting telephones over the internet and is now used throughout enterprise setups across the world. Because the majority of the connection is done over the internet the call costs are very low (especially internationally) compared to the older ISDN line system, and far more flexible. It also means that it can be deployed over a wireless or wired network very easily and quickly, making them ideal for events.

Take your number with you

Because VoIP does not rely on your physical location in the same way that a BT line does, we can provide you with a phone line and number in the months running up to your event, and then move the same phone and number to the site with you. After the event you can move the phone back to your offices and retain the phoneline and number for the following event.

We offer significant savings over a traditional BT line:
  • Line rental: £6.95pcm
  • Connection charge: 2p/call
  • Our call charges are a fraction of what BT charge, please contact us for our most recent price list

Telephone Balancing Units

TBUs are used for extracting the audio out of a telephone and pushing it through an Audio system. It will also take any audio sent to it (such as a return feed from a sound desk), and push that down the phone line.

Analogue TBUs have been around for some time, however with hotels charging high amounts or not being able to deploy phone lines in certain rooms IP TBUs are becoming more popular.

All you need is an internet connection (of 100Kbps upload and download) and we can provide a phone line. We can even provide a satellite connection to ensure the reliability.

These units are an affordable and very flexible way of providing multiple phone lines across a site for audio conferences or a speaker dial in.

Payphones

Once you have connectivity at your event you may wish to monetize it. One way is to offer payphones.

These robust units use the existing infrastructure and give your visitors and guests the opportunity to ring out. It might seem old fashioned, but most events will saturate the mobile phone cell making calls unreliable or even impossible.

You can set the rate and depending on the event we can offer the service FOC.
